Sharing personal data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties

CommuniQate does not sell your data to third parties and provides it only when this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. CommuniQate remains responsible for these processing activities.

CommuniQate takes the protection of your data seriously

If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or email support@communiqate.nl.

Security software

Such as a virus scanner and firewall

TLS (formerly SSL)

We send your data via a secure internet connection. You can recognise this by the https in the address bar and the padlock icon.

DKIM, SPF and DMARC

Three internet standards that we use to prevent you from receiving emails in our name that contain viruses, are spam, or are intended to obtain personal (login) details.

DNSSEC

Extra security (in addition to DNS) for translating a domain name into the associated IP address; it is provided with a digital signature.

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the personal settings of your account. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by our company, and you have the right to data portability.

This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation named by you.

If you wish to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability, or have other questions/comments about the data processing, please send a specified request to support@communiqate.nl.

Verification: To be sure that the request for access was made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.

CommuniQate will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

Sales proposals and interaction measurement

How we measure the follow-up of a personally sent proposal

When we send you a personal proposal by email at your request or in the context of an ongoing business relationship, we measure the interaction with that specific proposal. We do this to tailor our follow-up and to avoid contacting you unnecessarily. Specifically, we may record the following:

Whether and when the proposal email was opened (via a small, invisible image element in the email).
Whether and which button in the proposal was clicked (for example a demo request).
Which pages on our website you visit after opening the proposal.
Whether you request a demo as a result of the proposal.

For this measurement we place two functional first-party cookies (cq_pt and cq_ps) with a retention period of up to 180 days. These cookies link your site visit exclusively to the proposal sent to you. We do not retain raw IP addresses here: where we use an IP address for abuse prevention or deduplication, it is stored encrypted (hashed).

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in careful and efficient follow-up of a proposal that we deliberately sent to you as a business relation. If you do not want us to measure this interaction, you can indicate this via support@communiqate.nl; we will then delete the associated data and stop the measurement.
