A colleague who does your WhatsApp and asks you when he is unsure
He answers the question that comes in at 21:14, gets the appointment ready and updates your CRM. If it is about a discount, you get a message with a proposal and three buttons, and afterwards he carries on with your customer himself.
- He messages your customers, outside office hours too
- He updates your CRM without anyone typing anything in
- He asks you before he promises anything
AI colleague at Van Dijk Installatietechniek
Can you take something off the price if I decide this week?
21:14Discounts are not mine to decide. Let me check with Sander, I will be right back with you.
21:14Wesley is asking for a discount on quote 2026-1184. My proposal: 200 euros off if he signs before Friday 17:00.
The question arrives while you are on the sofa
Your phone is on the table. You see it the next morning at a quarter past seven, between two other messages.
You message back. You never hear from them again. Two days later you see somebody else's van parked in front of their house.
This is not the story of a bad company. This is the story of a good company with too few hands at the wrong moment. Customers do not call any more, they message, and they do not message during office hours.
Three things, and he does them himself
No extra dashboard, no extra tab. He works inside the conversations you already have.
He messages your customers
He reads the message, understands the question and answers. Opening hours, delivery times, what the service contract covers, where the engineer is, whether that filter is still in stock. He knows your price list, your calendar and your appointments, because they live in the system he works in. He starts every conversation by saying who he is, so your customer knows where they stand.
He updates your CRM
What happens in the conversation is in the system afterwards. A new phone number, a changed address, a customer who moves from quote to order, an appointment that was moved. Nobody has to retype anything. The admin is a by-product of the conversation, not a task after it.
He asks you
When he is unsure he does not stop and he does not hand over either. He messages a member of your team with the situation, his proposal and what happens if you say yes. You tap one button. After that he carries on with the customer himself, in the same conversation, without your customer having to repeat a thing.
What he is not. Not a phone menu. No press 1 for sales. Not a separate AI product next to your platform. He is a feature inside CommuniQate, in the same inbox your team already works in.
You set him up by talking to him
No screen full of tabs, no field asking for an endpoint. You do it the way you would brief a new colleague: you tell him how things work here.
- Step 1
Tell him who you are
We are Van Dijk Installatietechniek, we do central heating, heat pumps and servicing in the Twente region. We work from half past seven until five. Emergencies go by phone, everything else by WhatsApp. The service contract is 14.95 a month.
That is all. He asks follow-up questions when something is missing, the way a new colleague does.
- Step 2
Paste in a connection
If there is a system he needs to be able to use, paste its technical description into the conversation. A link to the documentation of your planning software is enough. From that moment on there is an action he can carry out: read the calendar, create an order, look up a status. You do not have to build anything and you do not have to understand anything.
If you cannot find that description, we will look it up. If the system will not cooperate, we say so, instead of leaving you waiting three weeks.
- Step 3
Give him a name
What is he called at your company? At Mulder he is called Wim. From that moment that name is in every conversation, together with the notice that he is an AI colleague.
So your customers know who they are talking to, and what he is.
- Step 4
Switch him on for one topic
Start small. Only opening hours and delivery times, for example. If you like it, you add a topic. Every topic has its own setting: review first or send on his own.
You change that whenever you want, per topic, without calling us.
Live within a week. That is the same promise we make for the rest of the platform, and it applies here too.
He asks, you tap one button, he carries on
This is how the conversation really runs. Your customer on the left, you on the right. Nobody in between.

Five things that happened in the discount conversation, and why they matter
- 1
Wesley did not have to repeat anything. There was no second conversation, no ticket number, no colleague who will be in touch.
- 2
Sander did not have to open a dashboard. He got a message on the channel he is already on, with a proposal and the consequence attached, not with an open question.
- 3
The amount came from a person. Wim never decides a discount himself, not even when he thinks he knows the answer.
- 4
The conversation stayed open. Every message from the customer keeps the WhatsApp window open, so this whole exchange cost nothing extra in message fees.
- 5
The follow-up was set straight away. Nobody has to remember on Friday that Wesley needs a call.
And if Sander does not reply?
Then Wim does not let it go quiet. He keeps the conversation warm, and if the wait runs up against the 24 hour WhatsApp window he turns it into a task and tells Wesley that a colleague is looking at it. No customer is ever left hanging on an answer that never comes.
Two switches, and both of them are yours
Review first
If you want to see what he writes first, you switch review on. He drafts the answer, you read it and send it. You can do that per topic: review on quotes, send on his own for opening hours.
This setting stays available for good, it never stops after a trial period and it costs nothing extra. Other providers sell this as a separate module or turn it off after thirty days. We do not.
By default he sends on his own and checks in when he is unsure. That is the setting that delivers most. But the choice is yours, every single day.
Try it: switch review on per topic
Review is on for 1 of the 4 topics.
Following up
He does not wait until it crosses your mind. A quote that has been quiet for four days, an appointment tomorrow, a conversation that died halfway through: he picks it up.
You set how often and how firmly. One reminder after four days and then stop, or three times in two weeks. You choose the tone and the rhythm, he sticks to it.
And he stops the moment the customer replies or you tell him to stop.
Two messages in ten days
- Day 4 · a reminder with the quote attached
- Day 10 · a last message asking whether it is still live
He stops the moment your customer replies.
Watch out with follow-ups outside office hours. If he takes the initiative after more than 24 hours of silence, that has to go through a WhatsApp template, and Meta charges a rate for it. You see those costs separately, not hidden inside a credit price.
See the price blockFour things he never does himself
Not because he cannot, but because they are not his to make. For these four you get a message, even when the answer is obvious.
- 1
Amounts that are not on your price list, and every discount
If the price is on the list, he quotes it. If somebody wants to deviate, asks for a discount, or it is about extra work, you decide. He comes with a proposal and the consequence attached, so you only have to tap a button instead of working out the whole situation.
- 2
Making an appointment final
He looks up the options, works out when it suits and gets it ready. The final yes comes from a person. A double-booked Monday costs more than one message.
- 3
Cancelling and refunding
Money back, withdrawing an order, ending a contract: never without a person. These are the things you cannot undo, and that is exactly the reason.
- 4
Legal statements
Warranty, liability, what the terms say when something goes wrong. There he honestly says that he will check. A chatbot that makes a commitment binds the company to it; a Canadian court has already ruled on that and it applies here just as much.
And on top of that: your customer can always type agent. Then he is gone and a person takes over. That is recorded, so you can see how often it happens and about what.
49 euros a month, plus what he actually uses
No credits, no bundle you have to guess at in advance, no price per resolved conversation that goes up as he gets better.
The fixed part
49 eurosa month, per AI colleague
This is a module on top of your existing plan. If you are on Start (39 euros), Growth (99 euros) or Accelerator (249 euros), this comes on top. A second or third AI colleague, say one for sales and one for service, also costs 49 euros a month.
Human colleagues reviewing his work cost nothing extra. Review mode costs nothing extra. Checking in with you costs nothing extra.
The variable part
The usage
An AI colleague thinks, and thinking costs computing power. We pass on the real cost of the AI model (Google Gemini) one to one with a 20 percent margin. Nothing else. You see per conversation what it cost, in your own overview, right next to the conversation itself.
So no credits, and no bundle that expires at the end of the month.
What that means in practice
| Type of conversation | What happens | Indication |
|---|---|---|
| Short conversation, no connections | Are you open on Saturday? He answers, done. | around 3 to 5 cents |
| Average conversation with a few connections | A customer wants to move an appointment. He checks the calendar, looks up the order, works it out, updates the CRM. | around 5 to 12 cents |
| Long conversation with a check-in | The discount conversation above: back and forth with the customer, a message to a colleague, updating the quote, setting the follow-up. | around 10 to 20 cents |
| Follow-up outside the 24 hour window | He sends a reminder on a quote that has gone quiet, on his own initiative. | the usage above, plus the rate Meta charges for the WhatsApp template |
These amounts are indicative. They are based on the prices Google charges for Gemini today. Google has announced that those change on 1 January 2027. If our purchase price changes, your price changes with it, in both directions, and we tell you beforehand. The 20 percent margin does not change.
Meta's template fees are separate from us. We pass them on exactly as they are, without a margin, just like the rest of your WhatsApp traffic.
Cancel monthly. No setup fee. No minimum volume. The same terms as the rest of CommuniQate.
See all pricesWhat your customer knows, and what we do not do
Since 2 August 2026 the European AI Act has required one thing of everyone who lets an AI talk to customers: that customer must know they are talking to an AI, and it has to be clear from the conversation itself. Not from a line in your terms.
You do not have to arrange any of that. It is built in.
Your customer knows they are talking to AI.
Every conversation opens with it. You are chatting with Wim, the AI colleague at Van Dijk Installatietechniek. No small print, no footnote, just the first line.
Your customer can always ask for a person.
If they type agent, the AI stops and a person takes over. Always, without exception, and it is recorded so you can look it back.
There is always a person in the loop.
For the four topics in the block above that is mandatory. For everything else you can switch review on whenever you want. And somebody always owns what he does.
Processing happens inside the EU.
Your conversations are processed inside the European Union, under the GDPR, with the existing CommuniQate certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II).
We do not train on your customer data.
Not for ourselves, not for other customers, not anonymised. What he learns at your company stays at your company.
Ready for the AI Act, out of the box.
Research by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (June 2025, 651 entrepreneurs) shows that half of them do not know the AI Act, while it has simply applied since August 2026. We built it in, so you do not have to work it out.

He passes to you
The boiler is dead and it is 4 degrees inside.
A person judges emergencies, always.

- Can I move my Tuesday check-up?
- Is this covered by my supplementary insurance?
He passes to you
I want to stop the treatment and know what I get back.
Refunds and treatment decisions go to the practice.

He handles
- When are you starting in our street?
- I got the quote, where exactly is the dormer in it?
- Could you do the handover a week later?

The extra work is coming out higher than we discussed.
Every amount that deviates goes to a person.
What customers say
Example, not published yet. The three quotes below are examples of the form, not of the content. They come from nobody. They only go live after a pilot with a baseline measurement and with the customer's own approval. Better no quote than an invented one.
Wim has simply become a colleague. I only notice him when he asks me something.
I let him say nothing about treatments. About moving appointments, everything.
I got a message while I was standing on a roof. Two taps and it was sorted.
